The Laptop Stand is designed and made in Australia and is presented as a sustainable and environmentally responsible alternative to similar products available on the market.
It is a low-cost, recyclable, lightweight, readily portable and user-friendly product. It is designed to suit all laptop types and sizes. The design is based on an A4 standard paper size, which in this concept is split into two symmetrical halves.
The design allows the laptop screen to be opened and ergonomically positioned at eye level during use. The keyboard lies on a forward inclined position, directed to the user and enhancing their comfort when typing. The stand has minimal surface contact with the computer which allows for easy heat dissipation.
The Laptop Stand is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper waste manufactured into a 10mm thick tough board. It is completely recyclable and can be disposed of in the paper-recycling bin at its end-of-life use.
Key objectives of this project is to support local manufacturing and the use of recyclable materials, beyond just making a functional product.
The dimensions of the Laptop Stand is 297x160 mm (folded).
